Sowerby Bridge Church Institute Cricket Club

Welcome to SBCI CC

We play in the Enco Halifax Cricket League and are an ECB Clubmark accredited club, affiliated to both the YCB (Yorkshire Cricket Board) and the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board). We run three senior sides – two Saturday teams and a Sunday team.

We are extremely proud of our junior section and our team of ECB qualified coaches run junior cricket for children from as young as 5 years old. In 2017 we became an All Stars Cricket Centre and have been successfully running programmes for the last 9 years.   In 2026, we will be running four junior sides- Under 9's, Under 11's, Under 13's & Under 15's.

For the 2026 season, we are always keen to welcome new players to our club, regardless of age, gender, or level of experience. If you or your child are interested in joining the club, please click on our contact page to submit a contact form, or contact  one of the below:

On Thursday of this week a Halifax League Under 15 side will be playing their equivalents from Sheffield in a 45 over a side game with an 11:00 start. SBCI CC are hosting this game and with the weather set fair and it being half term, all are welcome. Bar open from 11:00.
